Jennifer Lipsey, Interim CEO

Jen is the Interim CEO and manages the details of executing initiatives to reach ACLP's strategic goals. She has a bachelor's degree in Child & Family Development; a master's in Marriage and Family Therapy; two young daughters; a black lab; two cats...and a partridge in a pear tree. Jen's list of favorites includes: pajamas/slippers, the warm outdoors, health and fitness, strategic/solutions-based collaborations, and all opportunities that end in fits of giggles.

Yvonne Kassimatis


Yvonne Kassimatis, Director of Marketing & Communications

As the Director of Marketing & Communications Yvonne aligns the organization-wide branding and marketing communications to the strategic plan. She has extensive experience in marketing communications, creative services, advertising, publications, and account management. Yvonne has served in director-level roles for a variety of non-profit and for-profit organizations including the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), American Society for Training & Development (ASTD), Sloan’s Auction Galleries, and Doubleday Book & Music Clubs. She earned her BFA in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design in NYC. Yvonne has flown in a glider, canoed through whitewater, hiked in a rain forest, piloted a cigarette boat, and likes to keep her well-worn Timberlands in the car never knowing when an inviting detour will entice her to stray ‘outside the lines’ for a spontaneous adventure.

 Meagan Roloff


Meagan Roloff, MA, CCLS, Director of Partnerships

Meagan is ACLP’s Director of Partnerships. She manages ACLP’s grant-funded initiatives and partnerships with external organizations. She also serves as staff liaison to a variety of ACLP committees. Meagan earned her bachelor's degree in Human Development/Family Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her master's degree in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College. Prior to joining the ACLP staff, Meagan worked as a Certified Child Life Specialist in both hospital and community-based settings. Meagan loves classical music and regularly performs with choirs in the DC area.

Ramona Spencer


Ramona Spencer, Director of Professional Development

In collaboration with ACLP staff and volunteer leaders, Ramona manages the planning and implementation of the ACLP Annual Conference. Ramona has many years of meeting planning experience. Prior to joining ACLP, she worked in a series of meeting planning positions, first as a corporate meeting planner for DaimlerChrysler, then for the Engineering Society of Detroit. She also has experience managing a wide range of government conferences and events. Ramona has a bachelor's degree in Communication from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.

Barb James


Barb James, Manager of Operations and Membership

As Manager of Membership and Database Operations, Barb handles membership questions and database duties.  Barb has worked in the professional association field for more than eight years, and she worked for AER (The Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired) for almost 8 years before she moved to ACLP. Barb is also a proud Navy wife who has lived all over the country and the world. Barb has three adult children ages 26, 24 and 23 and a precious grandson. She likes to scrapbook, go wine tasting at local wineries, and spend time with her grandson.

Emily Smith, Manager of Program Standards

As Certification Manager, Emily works to support the operations of our certification and accreditation programs and serves as staff liaison to various CLC committees. Emily’s prior experience includes teaching high school and kindergarten, and working as the Human Resources Associate with Educators for Excellence. She holds degrees from the University of Minnesota and Pace University and is a huge Chicago Bulls fan.

Bea Wikander



Bea Wikander, Manager of Marketing & Communications

As Manager of Marketing and Communications, Bea works closely with other staff on ACLP communications and manages exhibitor, sponsor, and advertiser engagements. She has degrees in Spanish and English literature and has worked as a project manager, cookbook publicist, and travel book editor. She enjoys reading, running, and yoga and has lived in two U.S. territories: Guam and Puerto Rico.

Alex Rodriguez


Alex Rodriguez, Certification Coordinator

Alex serves as ACLP’s certification/recertification coordinator, helping to manage the administrative tasks of the certification and recertification process. His previous work experience is in the non-profit arena, and he has worked for many associations in a variety of capacities. Alex’s experience includes certification and recertification administration, meeting planning, database management, and report development. Before joining ACLP, he worked for associations including North American Technician Excellence (NATE), National Contract Management Association (NCMA),and Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI). Alex’s favorite sports are soccer and football, and he is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Kari West, Assistant Manager of Marketing & Communications

Kari West is the Assistant Manager of Marketing and Communications, where she supports ACLP's social media platforms, writes the monthly eNewsletter, and collaborates with staff on a variety of projects related to marketing and communications. She works from a remote office in Apex, North Carolina, where she lives with her husband and two young daughters. She has an unhealthy love of coffee, and in her free time, she can normally be found either curled up on the couch reading a new novel or hunched over a laptop attempting to write one of her own.

Mary Bean


Mary Bean, Event Coordinator

Mary is ACLP's Event Coordinator and works closely with all staff members on different projects such as database operations, certification, and conference. She has an administrative assistant associate degree and has worked in the professional association field for more than five years. She enjoys spending time with her son and daughter, reading, and relaxing at the beach.
