Infants, children, youth, and families benefit from help coping with the stress and uncertainty of illness, injury and treatment. Certified Child Life Specialists® provide evidence-based, developmentally appropriate interventions including therapeutic play, preparation and education that reduce fear, anxiety, and pain for infants, children, and youth. Certified Child Life Specialists are educated and trained in the developmental impact of illness and injury. Their role helps improve patient and family care, satisfaction and overall experience.

  • ACLP Announces Recipients of 2017 International Conference Scholarships

    The Association of Child Life Professionals is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2017 International Scholarships to attend the ACLP Annual Conference in Las Vegas. Five full scholarships were made available through the Advancing the Field of Play for Hospitalized Children Initiative grant from Disney. We are pleased that these distinguished professionals will join us in Las Vegas, and take back what they learned to help improve the care of children in their respective parts of the world. We encourage all ACLP members planning to attend the conference to give our scholarship recipients a warm welcome!
