STEP 1: APPLY

1. Visit the Child Life Store

2. Select the "Course Pre-Approval Applications" tab

3. Add the course type(s) requirements that you would like pre-approved to your cart. Should you have multiple courses covering one requirement, you must purchase and submit materials for each course you would like pre-approved.

4. Complete purchase

STEP 2: SUBMIT DOCUMENTATION

1. After you've completed your purchase with payment, you will receive an email with your receipt for your records and a submittal link. Follow the steps in the link to submit your courses for review.

2. Applications can be submitted at any time via the submittal link. Individuals will have to submit the form which is done electronically (details for how to do this will be sent via email after payment) as well as a course description/syllabi that are university-generated.

**Applications will not be reviewed until these steps have been followed and all necessary documentation has been submitted. Incomplete or unpaid applications will not be reviewed. Payment is non-refundable regardless of result outcomes.

STEP 3: ACLP REVIEW

1. Once the documentation has been submitted, applications are reviewed for course pre-approval by ACLP staff.

2. Review of the application and materials can take up to 3 weeks from the date of submission. ACLP reserves the right to ask for additional documentation in order to establish course eligibility. 

STEP 4: DECISION

1. Applicants will receive their results via email. Results will include the pre-approval report as well as a verification letter.

2. If pre-approved, courses will be recognized as ACLP Pre-Approved for two academic years.

3. If denied, the academic program may appeal or re-apply. Appeals must be made in writing to the ACLP office within one month of the decision.
