Child Life Conference
Hosted annually by ACLP, the Child Life Conference is an opportunity for child life professionals to reconnect with peers and make new acquaintances while earning PDUs and discovering the latest updates in the profession. Professional Development Units (PDU)
PDU Pre-Approval
Programs offering educational content applicable to child life professionals can apply for PDU (professional development units) pre-approval. The PDU pre-approval process grants programs the ability to offer PDUs for their courses, webinars, conferences, and other educational opportunities.
If pre-approved, programs can publicize this pre-approval status to Certified Child Life Specialists looking for continuing education content guaranteed to meet ACLP's recertification requirements.
Mentorship Program
The ACLP Mentorship Program is free for ACLP members. As a structured six-month program (January - June), it is designed to support the career development and growth of both emerging & established child life specialists.
Using a new platform (desktop and app versions), individuals will be paired together based on criteria outlined in the application. Pairings will work together during the six month duration and beyond through a series of monthly webinars (earn 6.0 PDUs), one-on-one meetings, and messaging.
