ACLP Groups

ACLP is proud to facilitate several groups for the Child Life community. Groups play a vital role in ensuring an inclusive environment where all are valued and included.

This group is for Certified Child Life Specialists (CCLSs) who work in the NICU setting. This group meets the second Thursday of every month at 1 PM EST. It is open to ACLP Members and Non-Members.

This ACLP meet up is for those in the child life profession who identify as Black or Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC). This meet up will be an informal gathering and opportunity for people to share their identities in a safe and friendly environment while also creating connections and beginning discussions. This is not a training, town hall, or facilitated conversation. There will not be an agenda; it will not be recorded, and there will not be a summary or notes released at a later date.

This meetup is intended only for people who identify as BIPOC. Allies of these communities are asked to respect the need to have a closed event. The meetup is for both ACLP members and non-members.

This ACLP affinity group is for those in the child life profession who are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community. This meet up is an informal gathering and opportunity for people to share their identities in a safe and friendly environment while also creating connections. This is not a training or town hall. It will not be recorded, and there will not be a summary or notes released at a later date. The meet up is for both ACLP members and non-members, including aspiring child life professionals.

Allies of these communities are asked to respect the need to have a closed event.

ACLP’s LGBTQIA+ Affinity Group will meet every month at 1:30 PM EST except on 8/23/2023, when it will meet at 2:30 PM EST due to a time conflict with an ACLP webinar.
