International Scholarships for the 2019 Annual Child Life Conference


The Association of Child Life Professionals (ACLP) will provide five international scholarships to enable recipients to attend the annual conference taking place in Chicago, Illinois, April 11-14, 2019.

Each scholarship will cover registration for the conference, up to five nights lodging at the conference hotel, actual cost of economy round-trip airfare up to $1,800 U.S., and a small stipend for meals and incidentals. 

Applicants may be from any country outside North America.  Applications are encouraged from any healthcare professional outside North America who has an interest in the psychosocial care of children. The award process will look most favorably on professional practitioners or administrators in a position to be able to introduce, or greatly enhance, psychosocial care consistent with child life practice and principles in their respective parts of the world. Applicants must have proficiency in English, as it is the official language of the conference.

How To Apply

Please complete the 2019 International Scholarship Application and submit it to the ACLP office as an attachment to an e-mail sent to (preferred method), or by  mail to 1820 N. Fort Myer Drive, Suite 520, Arlington, VA 22209 USA. If you have difficulty downloading the Word application, notify the ACLP office and supply us with an email address, fax number, or mailing address and we will send you an application form. 

All applications must be received by the ACLP office no later than November 30, 2018.  

The ACLP Awards Committee has been appointed by the Board of Directors to review applications and select recipients. All applicants will be notified of the decision by mid-December 2018.
