The CLCC Eligibility Assessment is the way the CLCC verifies that an individual has completed the academic and clinical requirements needed to sit for the certification exam. The Eligibility Assessment can be started at any time and individuals can add their degree, coursework, and clinical experience information as they complete it. The Eligibility Assessment is an on-going evaluation which is good until all requirements are completed.

Clinical Internship

An individual must complete a clinical internship that is under the direct supervision of a CCLS who meets certain criteria. A clinical internship can be started at any time. You are not required to have all the required courses completed to apply for an internship; however, most internship programs are looking to see that you have started your eligibility assessment and that you have completed at least some of the required courses. Please refer to each internship program as they are all different, and they each have their own specific requirements.
