ACLP Affinity Groups
ACLP is proud to facilitate the following affinity groups for the child life community:

Disability Affinity Group
The Disability Affinity Group is for ACLP members who identify as part of the disability community. This group is a place for disabled ACLP members to connect and share perspectives, experiences, and resources. Meetings are closed to allies, and attendance and the meeting are not recorded.
Community-Based Affinity Group
The Community-Based Affinity Group is for ACLP members who practice or are interested in practicing outside the hospital setting. This group provides an opportunity to network, share ideas and perspectives, and discuss topics relevant to community-based environments. It is open to ACLP members only.
LGBTQIA+ Affinity Group
The LGBTQIA+ Affinity Group is for ACLP members who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community. This group is a place for LGBTQIA+ ACLP members to connect and share perspectives, experiences, and resources. Meetings are closed to allies, and attendance and the meeting are not recorded.
Member of Color Affinity Group
The Members of Color Affinity Group is for ACLP members who identify as Black, Indigenous, or a person of color (BIPOC). This group is a place for ACLP members of color to connect and share perspectives, experiences, and resources. Meetings are closed to allies, and attendance and the meeting are not recorded. This is not a training, town hall, or facilitated conversation. There will not be an agenda; it will not be recorded, and there will not be a summary or notes released at a later date.
This affinity group is intended only for people who identify as BIPOC. Allies of these communities are asked to respect the need to have a closed event. The affinity group is for ACLP members.
